Safaricom has partnered with Kenyan retailer Quickmart to bring its 4G and 5G household internet solutions closer to clients, improving connectivity accessibility and convenience.
The telco said the partnership with Quickmark, which has 61 locations around the country, will allow users easily acquire 4G or 5G routers in locations closer to them, allowing access to home internet.
In addition to Quickmart locations, users may purchase the 4G and 5G routers at Safaricom retail stores, authorised Safaricom dealers, and online at Masoko.co.ke, with plans to partner with more retailers across the country, according to the company.
The initiatives are part of the company's efforts to engage with consumers and partners as it prepares to mark 25 years in the market.
Safaricom has continued to optimise its fibre network capacity, upgrade Home Fibre speeds at no extra cost, and perform home service clinics nationally to improve the customer experience, it said.
Furthermore, 4G and 5G router users can self-service their routers by scanning a QR code to register the SIM card and activate their account, purchase a package, and connect to the internet.
“In line with our purpose of transforming lives, we are continuously innovating to provide our customers with the best connectivity solutions. This partnership will ensure that more Kenyans can access reliable home internet with ease, reinforcing our promise of seamless connectivity and great value,” said Fawzia Ali, chief consumer business officer, Safaricom.
