The next stage of Rwanda's digital transformation will require greater coordination, focused investment, and sustained partnerships.

This is according to Paula Ingabire, minister of ICT and Innovation.

She gave an address during Wednesday's Digital and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Compact stakeholder event in the East African country, organised by the World Bank Group.

“The Digital and AI Compact will serve as a shared roadmap to advance Rwanda’s digital and AI ambitions by aligning stakeholders around clear priorities, coordinated investments and measurable outcomes,” Ingabire said.

The Rwanda session brought together government, development partners, and the private sector players to define goals, address implementation needs, and increase collaboration in areas such as digital and data infrastructure, AI talent and skills, and local solution support.

The minister acknowledged Rwanda's digital transformation path, emphasising significant advances in connectivity, digital public infrastructure, digital government services, and innovation.

“The next phase will require stronger coordination, targeted investment and sustained collaboration,” Ingabire said.
