Technology aggregator Redington Gulf has signed a strategic collaboration agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to accelerate cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) adoption across the Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META) region.
The agreement builds on the companies’ existing relationship, focusing on reducing technical complexity, speeding up solution deployment and helping businesses scale their cloud infrastructure.
Under the agreement, Redington Gulf will act as a distributor, working alongside other members of the AWS Partner Network to expand market access across the region.
The companies said the agreement coincides with Redington Gulf securing two new AWS Competencies: the AWS AI Services Competency and the AWS digital Sovereignty Services Competency.
These bring Redington Gulf’s total to six AWS Competencies. The other four cover Migration and Modernisation Consulting, SAP Consulting, Small and Medium Business Services, and Security Consulting.
A key priority of the collaboration is to unlock growth opportunities, particularly in Saudi Arabia. The agreement aims to facilitate the adoption of emerging technologies, including agentic AI, while expanding channel partners’ capabilities through AWS Marketplace.
"Our relationship with AWS has continued to evolve alongside changing customer priorities, and this SCA marks the next phase of that journey," said Sayantan Dev, CEO of Software Solutions Group at Redington.
"It enables us to help our partners in the META region scale faster, build stronger capabilities, and expand access to solutions."
Afaf Chekkar, director of EMEA Strategic Partners at AWS, noted that Redington Gulf's regional infrastructure position will play a role in driving deployment speed.
"Redington Gulf’s regional expertise can be a key enabler of rapid innovation, providing customers with new routes to adopting solutions that have a material impact in growing business value," Chekkar said.
