Raedbots, a robotics firm specialising in the local design and manufacturing of industrial robots, has launched in Egypt to meet rising regional demand for automation .
Positioning itself as a cost-effective and accessible alternative to imported systems, the company develops its entire technology stack in-house at its Cairo labs.
This vertically integrated process spans mechanical design, electronics, control systems, and proprietary Artificial Intelligence (AI) software.
By managing the end-to-end production, Raedbots provides solutions that can save customers up to 50% in costs compared to high-end international imports, said Hamza El-Sahiti, COO of Raedbots.
He noted that the technology is specifically optimised for regional manufacturing environments, allowing the firm to compete with global manufacturers like ABB, FANUC, and Yaskawa.
The firm is currently building smart industrial robots powered by "Physical AI"—technology that enables machines to perceive and navigate complex environments autonomously.
These systems are engineered for diverse applications, including welding, Computer Numerical Control machine tending, material handling, packaging, and warehouse automation.
Raedbots is one of the first physical AI start-ups in the Middle East to join the NVIDIA Inception programme.
It leverages NVIDIA’s simulation and AI infrastructure to develop next-generation solutions capable of advanced perception and autonomous task execution, the company stated.
"We aren't just building industrial robots; we are providing integrated robotic solutions that help facilities and factories optimise productivity, reduce costs, and enhance safety standards,” commented Mohamed Ibrahim, chief technology officer of Raedbots.
Looking ahead, the company’s roadmap includes the development of multi-purpose robotic platforms and collaborative robots (cobots) designed to work alongside humans.
These will be supported by integrated software intended to simplify technology adoption for small and medium-sized manufacturers across the Middle East.
