ICT Distributor Pinnacle Africa is expecting to receive the first batch of Alienware products in the next few weeks after Dell appointed the company as sole distributor of the Alienware range of products in the Southern African region late last month. Alienware is a Dell subsidiary.

Rory Green, Pinnacle Africa Dell Brand Executive has emphasised the significance of their new agreement with Dell.

"Dell Alienware is considered to be the premier gaming brand in the world offering exceptional design and performance for the most demanding users. Alienware gaming laptops and gaming PCs are designed for intense, high performance gaming and we are very pleased to be in the position to offer this elite range of hardware to the channel."

Stock of standard Alienware configurations will be arriving in early May for Pinnacle Africa to hold locally for delivery according to the distributor.

Pinnacle Africa says the deal will ensure that customers across Southern Africa have the ability to select a unit that meets both their specific needs, and their pockets. It has added that the Dell Alienware team at Pinnacle has already started taking pre-orders.

An upbeat Green added that the deal represents a wealth of opportunity. He says the Alienware sole distribution agreement is in the best interest of Pinnacle Africa and its channel partners.

"The channel now has a tremendous opportunity to tap into a growing market looking for easy access to high-level performance from their gaming equipment without the fuss of having to build up their rigs themselves."
