Paymentology, a cloud-native issuer-processor, has appointed Kesheni Moodley as regional director for Africa, to strengthen relationships with customers and expand its reach across the continent.

According to the firm, in her new position, Moodley will focus on growing programme and management capabilities, while assisting the business in its collaborations with fintechs and banks across the diaspora in building resilient, scalable and locally relevant payment products.

Moodley has more than 20 years of expertise in the ICT, payments, and enterprise technology industries, including client relationship development, commercial leadership, business development, and operational transformation.

She joins the company from Ozow, where she most recently served as chief commercial officer after several years as head of client success. During her employment, she was instrumental in driving commercial strategy, strengthening client relationships, and accelerating the adoption of real-time payments across South Africa.

Prior to Ozow, the industry veteran had senior leadership positions at Accenture, where she spent over six years directing operations consulting and transformation services, as well as sales leadership responsibilities for large-scale business clients. She has worked as a client executive and in business development for IBM and Siemens.

Anna Porra, chief revenue officer at Paymentology said: “Kesheni brings an exceptional breadth of commercial and operational experience, combined with a deep understanding of the regional market.

"Her ability to balance growth, client value and operational excellence will be critical as we continue to support fintechs and banks across Africa in building resilient, scalable and locally relevant payment products.”

In response to her appointment, Moodley expressed her eagerness to work directly with clients and partners to assist the company's next phase of growth in the region.

“Having spent much of my career working across Africa’s communications, technology and payments ecosystems, I have seen first-hand the impact digitisation can have at scale.

"As mobile-first adoption accelerates and expectations for always-on, inclusive payment experiences grow, Paymentology enables issuers to scale with confidence.”
