Mobile service provider Orange Kenya has reintroduced a call back service that enables subscribers to reverse call charges to the person they expect to communicate with.

Dubbed ‘Nisort’, the service is available on Orange to Orange calls and targets subscribers who need to make urgent calls, but who are not near a credit recharge facility or do not have money to buy airtime.

Orange Kenya joins other mobile service companies in the country who have embraced the call back service as a value addition to their services and responding to customer needs.

According to Orange’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Maureen Sande, “‘NiSort’, will enable customers make calls when the calling party’s credit balance is zero. The service will request the call recipient to accept the charges, before completing the call.

To access NiSort, an Orange subscriber needs to dial 128 followed by the intended recipient’s mobile number. To follow a voice prompt, a subscriber dials 127 and listens to the instructions.

An Orange subscriber can also dial #123# to access the USSD menu and select the service. NiSort is available for all prepaid customers and users are able to set a white list of numbers whose NiSort requests will go through automatically.
