Orange Botswana has partnered with a local communications company – Incepta Communications & PR to launch a mobile advertising service, after identifying a gap in the mobile and networking industry.

Dubbed Orange Makoya, the service is expected to go live towards the end of January and is designed to generate business for Botswana brands by facilitating closer interaction with target customers.

Orange Botswana says the mobile advertising service works according to the client's selected preferences by sending SMS alerts to prospective buyers with brand offers and promotions from their chosen categories.

"The service assists brand owners, stores and other suppliers to get access to customers who have an inclination towards a particular type of product or service," said. Esmeralda Delville, Orange Botswana Innovation Executive.

Commenting on the new service Seeletso Reikeletseng, mobile advertising sales executive at Incepta Communications & PR said: "This is a revolutionary service, as it is a first of its kind in Botswana."

Reikeletseng said it creates an opportunity for customers to know about exclusive deals from local brands and also benefit local brands and various suppliers to reach a wider network of their target audience, increasing the chances of converting leads into actual sales.

"This new service will help improve efficiency in business, as customers will receive deals and promotions from local brands and stores they have opted for with just a click on their mobile phones, and brand owners will be assured of a reliable and most effective means of advertising their products and services, " Reikeletseng added.
