African musicians have an additional channel to list their music thanks to the launch of an on-demand app on Apple iTunes and Google Play Store known as Orin.

The application allows users to stream albums and music videos from African artists, in a bid to reach millions who are in the diaspora.

Users can also unlock badges as they follow their favorite artists.

“Orin is all about enabling African music artists to do what they love, and providing fans with an inspiring selection of music that they can enjoy anytime, anywhere,” Finbarrs Oketunji of 234 digital Limited, owners of Orin, said.

“It’s also an ideal way for those who haven’t experienced African music to immerse themselves in the unique sounds and sensations. It won’t just change what music they listen – it’ll transform how and why they listen to music.”
