About 400 Nigerian government ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) have migrated to an online system and set up websites using the .gov.ng domain.

This is according to Nigerian Communications Week, which has reported that all Nigerian MDAs are expected to migrate to the local domain by the end of 2014.

Nigeria’s e-governance programme is driven by the country’s ministry of communications technology.

According to Nigerian Communications Week, the ministry is also expected to launch an online service portal “Getting Government Online” on Tuesday.

The online portal is planned to help improve the service delivery of government to Nigerians and other stakeholders.
