According to NITDA, the appointment of these industry experts will increase collaboration between the government and innovators, ensuring that founders and entrepreneurs' views are heard in national digital policy and implementation.
The new members will advise the Council on policies that are consistent with the goals of the Nigeria Startup Act, thereby promoting long-term growth in the country's innovation ecosystem.
The Agency emphasised this inclusion of the four reflects its commitment to developing a strong and inclusive digital economy through partnership between government, the corporate sector, academia, and other important stakeholders, as well as paving the way for Nigeria's digital future.
