The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) in Nigeria is collaborating with SecDojo, a cybersecurity training and upskilling firm, to enhance national resilience against cyber threats through targeted capacity building initiatives.

The pact was signed during the sidelines of GITEX Africa 2025 in Marrakesh, Morocco, with Kashifu Inuwa, the director general of NITDA, and Younes Benzagmout, the CEO of SecDojo, representing the organisations.

NITDA states that the partnership, established through a Memorandum of Understanding, aims to enhance cybersecurity awareness by developing skills, promoting cyber hygiene, and expanding digital infrastructure access across the country.

Furthermore, the agency highlights that the initiative is in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s priority areas under the Renewed Hope Agenda, which focuses on enhancing national security.

NITDA mentioned that the partnership will offer training programs, workshops, and certifications to equip stakeholders from both the public and private sectors with essential skills to effectively detect, prevent, and respond to cyber threats.
