DSTV subscribers have an opportunity to stream their favourite stations on their smartphones through the use of the newly launched DSTV Now, a mobile application.

The application will also enable subscribers to stream or download their favourite programmes on their phones through the DSTV Catch Up service.

"The mobile app is currently on offer to DStv Premium subscribers with a PVR or Explora decoder, on both iOS and Android tablets and mobile phones through 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi internet connections," the company said.

"There are also selected Live TV channels to watch on your mobile device and tablet plus an eight-day TV Guide showing Live programming on all DStv channels is available to DStv Subscribers."

Major pay digital television services in Kenya continue to adjust their offerings as the end-December deadline for the migration from analogue broadcasting to digital nears in Nairobi. StarTimes and GoTV have slashed their decoder prices to attract subscribers.
