MTN Group CEO recognised for leadership impact

In Abidjan yesterday, Ralph Mupita, president and CEO of MTN Group, received the Lifetime Achievement Award for the Builders of the African Economy 2025.

The achievement, which is the highest accolade from the event hosted in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, recognises visionary leadership, outstanding performance and lasting impact on the African economic landscape.

MTN noted that under his leadership, the MTN Group has been able to combine growth, innovation, and digital inclusion, impacting the lives of millions of people across Africa.

The company was previously awarded the recognition in 2007 and 2015, and the current recognition highlights its continued commitment to a connected, robust, and inclusive Africa, according to MTN.

Mitwa Kaemba Ng'ambi, CEO of MTN Côte d'Ivoire, accompanied by her management committee, received the award on behalf of Mupita.
