Logitech last week unveiled a new range of video conferencing and audio equipment targeting businesses upgrading meeting rooms for artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled collaboration, including large and multi-purpose spaces.

The launch, held at the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, includes the Rally Bar 2 video bar, Rally System 2 Pro modular conferencing system and new Rally Speaker 2 products featuring the company's Sound Shape audio technology.

According to the company, the products are designed to improve video and audio quality, automate aspects of meeting room management and support AI processing on devices rather than relying entirely on cloud computing.

“Across Africa, organisations are embracing new ways to connect teams across cities, countries and borders,” said Jawad Jabalane, head of Africa at Logitech for Business.

“AI-powered workspaces can make collaboration more inclusive and help organizations get more from every meeting room, whether it’s a local huddle or a large, multi-purpose space.”

The Rally Bar 2, successor to Logitech’s Rally Bar, uses a Qualcomm chipset that the company says delivers four times the edge AI processing power of unspecified competing video bars. It also features a custom-designed lens, a 1-inch image sensor, six beamforming microphones and occupancy detection.

The device is certified for Microsoft Teams, Zoom Rooms and Google Meet. Its sensors can detect room occupancy to support meeting management and provide data that businesses can use to assess workspace utilisation.

The Rally System 2 Pro is designed for larger, more complex meeting spaces, including rooms that can be divided into separate areas. Its components include the RoomMate 2 Pro computing unit, Rally AI Camera Pro, networked speakers and Logitech Link, which connects compatible equipment over standard Category cables.

The system is intended to simplify installations that would otherwise require equipment from multiple vendors.

Logitech’s new Sound Shape technology uses multiple small drivers to direct audio towards people across a room. The Rally Speaker 2 Pro and Rally Speaker 2 Max are designed for spaces measuring up to 20 metres, according to the company.

Other products announced include the Tap IP 2 meeting room controller and Tap Scheduler 2 room-booking panel.

The Rally Bar 2, Tap IP 2 and Tap Scheduler 2 are rolling out globally. The Rally System 2 Pro, RoomMate 2 Pro and Rally Speaker 2 range are scheduled for release in summer 2027. The company also plans to introduce its Right Sight 3 multi-camera switching capability through a free CollabOS software update in the second half of 2027.
