Bosso, founded in 2022, is a proptech platform that services Africa's building supply chains.

Launch Africa Ventures, a pan-African investment fund, yesterday said Bosso, a Zambia-based construction supply and logistics marketplace platform, has joined its portfolio as one of its most recent investments.

The fund, which invests in early-stage, technology-driven enterprises, made the announcement on Wednesday on its LinkedIn page.

Bosso, founded in 2022, is a proptech platform that services Africa's building supply chains.

With a focus on digitisation and affordability, Bosso targets the process of sourcing construction materials for businesses and individuals alike, according to Launch Africa Ventures.

Launch Africa Ventures said Bosso is committed to fostering sustainable development and addressing the continent's housing shortage.

It said: “With the housing deficit in Zambia projected to double by 2030, and Africa facing a staggering backlog of 60 million housing units, the need for efficient supply chains in construction has never been greater.”

Launch Africa Ventures added that it is investing in the proptech business because of the platform’s traction and revenue growth demonstrate its ability to have a significant impact on the construction industry.

According to the fund, Bosso's vision aligns with Launch Africa Ventures' mandate to support innovative solutions that drive positive change and address pressing challenges across the continent.
