Kenya’s directorate of e-government has developed an internet portal to facilitate citizen access to integrated public services, whether by phone or PC.

The portals kenya.go.ke and hudumakenya.go.ke allow users to personalise the services they require, so that after loggin on, they only see their selected options.

“One can add and remove services at will but to do this one must first create an account,” said Esther Wanjau, directorate of e-Government, presidency and cabinet affairs office.

The new portal complements the open data website that Kenya launched in mid 2011, www.opendata.go.ke, which releases information for the public.
