As part of the Africa Cyber Defence Forum, Kaspersky has created its first Transparency Centre on the continent.

The Kigali, Rwanda, centre will also open as part of Kaspersky's Global Transparency Initiative.

The new site provides visitors with an in-depth look into Kaspersky's engineering and data processing methods, as well as a live exhibition of the source code for its products and services.

It is available to Kaspersky's partners, clients, and cyber security regulators.

With the inauguration of the facility in the region, Kaspersky will expand its network to include 11 Transparency Centres around the world.

Genie Sugene Gan, Kaspersky’s head of government affairs and public policy for Asia-Pacific, Japan, the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa: said: "The Transparency Centre opening marks a pivotal advancement and a significant milestone for both our organisation and the region, as we bring essential capacity-building capabilities and best cybersecurity practises to the region."
