Indian headquartered technology firm HMS Infotech plans to target Nigeria with its cloud-based hotel management property offering that helps manage the likes of room management and reservations.
The Asian company -- which sells its services in over 50 countries -- has set its sights on Nigeria by choosing local firm PN Consulting as its channel partner in Nigeria.
And HMS Infotech’s Hotelogix offering that is to be particularly targeted at Nigerian hospitality managers is the ‘Property Management System’, which is a front-desk cloud-based solution that assists with the likes of reservations, bookings and room tasks.
Peter Iwegbu, managing partner of PN Consulting, said that the key interest of the application was its flexibility and adaptability to all sizes of hotels.
Speaking about the partnership with HMS InfoTech, Iwegbu said such solution is needed in the Nigerian hospitality industry to bring them up to the next level.
“We feel there exists a technology gap in the hospitality sector in Nigeria and it is a welcome development for us to partner and extend the cloud-based hotel and property management solution to the small and mid-sized hospitality sector in Nigeria,” he said.
He pointed out that major reasons why his company opted to introduce Hotelogix into Nigeria was that the solution is cloud-based and ‘secure’.
He also said that it is adaptable to any hotel size and could be accessible from anywhere across the globe.
Aditya Sanghi, co-founder of HMS Infotech, commented on the partnership: “We are truly happy to partner with PN Consulting to extend our unique hotel and property management solution to Nigeria. We believe that PN Consulting has deep understanding of the Nigerian ICT industry and their philosophy aligns fully with our company.”
"We feel they would be the ideal channel partner for us to extend our cloud-based services to the small and mid-sized hospitality sector in Nigeria,” he said.
He added that a number of other countries such as Brazil, France, Indonesia, Jamaica, Japan, Malaysia, Peru, Philippines, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom and United States currently use the Hotelogix application.
