Telecoms firm Huawei Technologies has partnered with South African music and events promoters, G&G Productions, to launch the Huawei Culture Club (HCC).

The partnership, which is an initiative of the Chinese telcos’ consumer business group, is a new platform that is expected to connect millions of music fans to some of the world’s top entertainers.

“Huawei Culture Club provides an opportunity for Huawei to engage with a younger audience, connecting with them through music,” says Liza Kaplan, marketing director - Huawei consumer business group, South Africa.

She added, “It is a digital and physical hub of news, information, tickets, concerts, DJs, content and the platform off which some of the hottest events in South Africa are born and executed. Welcome to the revolution…”

In a statement Huawei says through the HCC platform, music fans will be treated over the next 12 months to acts including the Foo Fighters, The Script, One Republic, One Direction, Space Ibiza, NYE Ballito, CPT Calling NYE, Peachy and Kinky Disco.
