Nigeria's independent telecoms tower operator Helios Towers Nigeria has announced the outcome of its corporate rebranding and will now be known as HTN Towers as widely referred to by its customers.

The company expressed its commitment to remaining one of Nigeria's leading independent tower companies along with news of the name change. It added that the new name would retain all of the values that have made the Company a trusted and reliable partner.

"These values include: best-in-class service, customer focus, experience, stability, integrity and accountability, but the name change also adds a clear vision of long term partnership and reflects the Company's ambitions in the wider African telecommunications infrastructure sector." reads the announcement from the company which currently operates in 33 of Nigeria's 36 states.

HTN Towers chief executive officer Inder Bajaj linked the name change with the Company's expansion plans.

"I am delighted to announce our rebranding to HTN Towers, which heralds a new phase in the company's growth and reflects our pan-African expansion ambitions. We remain committed to providing best-in-class service to our customers in Nigeria and elsewhere as we continue to expand."

HTN Towers also revealed that it is seeking what is describes as both organic growth and acquisition opportunities to enhance its scale and service offering in addition to exploring strategic options including a potential initial public offering.
