Global digital infrastructure provider Hayo has expanded its footprint into Tanzania, opening a new office in Dar es Salaam as part of a broader strategy to strengthen its local operations across East Africa.
According to the company, the move will enable it to work directly with local governments, regulatory bodies and telecommunications operators to build, secure and manage critical digital infrastructure.
Tanzania is the latest market in Hayo’s regional expansion, following its entry into Rwanda and Senegal earlier this year, alongside deployments in Botswana, Liberia and Malawi in late 2025.
As African economies digitise , demand for resilient network infrastructure and robust cybersecurity frameworks has become increasingly important for national security and economic growth.
Hayo’s expansion into Tanzania aims to address operational gaps by providing direct local support for complex digital environments.
The company’s technology portfolio addresses regulatory and operational challenges through solutions spanning national mobile registries, voice and SMS firewalls to combat network fraud, and specialised network intelligence and APIs that turn sector data into actionable insights for mobile operators.
A permanent local team will enable Hayo to provide long-term, hands-on support for projects from initial design through to deployment and operation.
Company leadership said a physical presence in Dar es Salaam was important for delivering accountable, responsive infrastructure projects tailored to local regulatory requirements and customer priorities.
“Having dedicated teams on the ground is crucial when it comes to digital infrastructure that is critical to a country or an operator,” said Vimal Odedra, chief product and marketing officer at Hayo.
“Tanzania is an important market for us, with huge opportunities to work more closely with public authorities, regulators and network operators. Expanding our local operations gives us the local insight and teams to better understand customer priorities, respond quickly and remain accountable for the outcomes we deliver.”
Feraz Ahmed, CEO of Hayo, said: “Digital infrastructure is becoming increasingly central to national development, public services and economic growth. This is creating new priorities for both public sector stakeholders and network operators. Expanding in Tanzania will help us turn local requirements into infrastructure that delivers stronger outcomes for citizens, networks and the wider economy.”
