Global firm TE Connectivity opens Kenya, Nigeria offices

Solutions engineering firm TE Connectivity has opened offices in Kenya and Nigeria to be led by former general manager and executive director for Vodacom Business East Africa, Chuks Ofor.

The Switzerland based company has said the offices located in Lagos and Nairobi are planned to serve its broadband business in the East and West region.

The offices are further intended to help the company to be closer and more responsive to customer requirements in the emerging markets of Africa, reads a company statement.

Ofor’s experience spans more than ten years in the telecommunications and engineering industry.

TE Connectivity designs and manufactures electronic connection products for the world’s leading industries including automotive, energy and industrial, broadband communications, consumer devices, healthcare, and aerospace and defense.

And Ofor speaking about his appointment said, ““I am very pleased to be part of this great company.”

He added, “TE Connectivity’s innovative product portfolio and their long history and worldwide expertise makes them one of the major players in the broadband industry. Infrastructure development in Africa is a key requirement for its social and economic growth and TE is committed to supporting this growth.”
