Ghana’s Glo Mobile has paid its $200 000 penalty for failing to fully meet its network roll-out in that country.

Paarock Asuman VanPercy, NCA director-general, confirmed Glo Mobile had paid the fine.

Ghana’s National Communications Authority (NCA) slapped the mobile operator with the fine after it failed to roll out its network as stipulated in its operating licence.

The mobile operator won the license to operate in Ghana in 2008 but had failed to roll-out its services until April this year.
