Etisalat Nigeria has announced that prepaid customers on its network are now able to use services and surf the web on their mobile phones while abroad.

Mr. Wael Ammar, the chief commercial officer at Etisalat Nigeria, said the prepaid data roaming service was available to prepaid subscribers by default, and that customers only needed to switch on their devices on arrival at the roaming destination .

Ammar said destinations where the customers would 'pay-as-you-go'option were available in the United Kingdom, US, France, United Arab Emirates, Italy, South Africa, India, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Cameroon, Republic of Benin, Ivory Coast, Central African Republic, Niger, Spain and Ghana.

“The prepaid roaming plan has been designed to enable our customers purchase data with ease and manage costs before embarking on their trips or whilst they are already abroad.

“This unique service also provides the flexibility of three different plans to suit the customer’s data needs," Ammar said.
