Egyptian systems integrator Giza Systems has announced its acquisition of VAS Integrated Solutions LLC (VIS).

VAS Integrated Solutions is Bull Group's Egyptian subsidiary leader in storage integration and a key distributor for EMC, a global specialist company in virtualisation and big data.

Founded in 2010, VAS Integrated Solutions has over 40 employees while its 2013 revenues hit approximately EGP 200 million. Giza Systems; meanwhile, has been in operation since 1974.

“Giza Systems acquires from Bull all shares owned by the Group in VAS Integrated Solutions, representing 80% majority stake in VIS,” says a press statement.

VAS Integrated Solutions operates in the cloud enablement and virtualisation space in Egypt and Libya.

Its customers include all major players in the Egyptian telecommunications sector, banking industry and a strong presence in the oil and gas sector, according to a press statement.

"Acquiring VIS creates a compelling advantage for our joint clients, as it supports organisations across the board in deriving the transformative benefits of integration with cloud technologies,” commented Shehab El Nawawi, chairman and chief executive officer of Giza Systems.

“The synergy across our service offerings is a perfect fit with our strategy aiming at providing our clients with the most complete portfolio of integration services with a strong secure cloud-based backbone to drive business innovation and optimisation," said El Nawawi.
