Egypt to host eLearning Africa conference

Investors, businesses and corporations urged to partake in largest gathering of eLearning and ICT supported education and training professionals.

Organisers of the 2016 leg of eLearning Africa in Cairo, Egypt, taking place between 24 - 26 May, have urged businesses to partake in the upcoming conference.

eLearning Africa is attended by over 1000 education professionals, investors and providers of education and training, with the majority coming from the African continent. The conference has previously been held in Zambia, Ghana and most recently in Ethiopia's capital, Addis Ababa.

The drawcard for entrepreneurs, startups and SMEs includes "opportunities to engage with investors and government representatives" according to a call for participation. Conference organisers say the event will provide opportunities to share information about successes and learn from others.

eLearning Africa participant Adebola Adedugbe of Bonifab Nigeria Limited in Nigeria reiterated the value of the conference. "the eLearning Africa conference was an eye opener for me to see the need for ICT in learning, training and education. The conference has given me a broader knowledge of the challenges faced by various countries in Africa"

Organisers add that Investors, businesses and corporations will also benefit from opportunities to "Foster partnerships with governments and decision makers, preempt developments and trends within the sector, uncover investment opportunities and connect with startups , learn from inspirational examples of best practice and share your own, and discover new talent by from taking part in the conference.

This year's conference is being organised with the support of Egypt's Minister of Communications and Information Technology Yasser ElKady under the theme 'Making Vision Reality'.
