Just a few months after the acquisition of the Norwegian distributor Barex AS, and later CashPOS also in Norway, EET Europarts strikes again with another strategic acquisition that will enhance the company´s strong position in the Nordic market.

Barex AB is a highly reputable distributor of data capture and barcode solutions in the Nordic region. The company was founded in 2005, and is specialized within the distribution of POS and Auto ID equipment, including solutions for marking and data capture.

CEO at EET Group, John Thomas, says; "Acquisitions are an important part of our growth strategy, and a contributing factor to our successful growth strategy for the POS & Auto ID business in recent years. Our ambition is to become one of the leading POS & Auto ID distributors in the European market before 2020, and this acquisition is definitely an important step in that direction. With the acquisition of Barex AB we add new competences and well-known brands to our POS & Auto ID portfolio, and at the same time we bring even more highly skilled employees into our organization."

As part of the acquisition, EET Europarts will take over a strong team of experienced and highly skilled employees from Barex AB. Also an additional office location for EET Europarts AB will be established in Gothenburg.

CEO at Barex AB, Johanna Pettersson, is very pleased with the acquisition. "Seeing how efficiently EET Europarts has been growing their POS & Auto ID business, I feel very confident, and look forward to becoming part of such a successful company. I also strongly believe, that the impact of EET Europarts´ unique and effective distribution model, in combination with the products, knowhow and competences we bring on from Barex, will help create synergies to the business area."
