Digital Telecom has partnered with AS Datel, an Estonian geospatial technology company, to offer satellite monitoring and digital cadastral solutions across Africa.
According to a joint statement, the alliance intends to provide African author-ities with data-driven insights to boost governance efficiency and financial performance.
Satellite imaging, geospatial analytics, and digital governance platforms will be the primary drivers of the partnership's efforts to address long-standing issues in asset registration, tax compliance, and natural resource management.
The strategic cooperation focuses on three crucial areas: modernising land ad-ministration, detecting unlawful structures, and monitoring illicit mining, providing transformative technologies to assist governments increase income, enforce regulations, and promote sustainable development.
At the core of the collaboration is the implementation of an electronic cadaster system, a centralised, digital platform that integrates editable cadastral maps, automated land tax modules, address enforcement capabilities, and connections to secure national data exchange systems, noted the firms.
This innovation will enable local and national authorities to maintain accurate, up-to-date property records, streamline tax collection, reduce administrative burdens, and improve transparency for citizens and investors alike.
