UK-based equity investment soultion, Emerging Crowd, is expected to launch its services in sub-Saharan Africa in October later this year.
Emerging Crowd focuses on unlisted growth-stage companies in emerging and frontier markets and enables individual investors to put money in growing companies.
According to the company launching its service in emerging markets will give the investors an opportunity to get into great business ideas from their start.
The company has also set its eyes on Central Asia and South East Asia.
“For established growth companies in emerging and frontier markets, traditional cross-border fundraising models often fail to provide the necessary transformational capital. Even the best companies are not adequately served by conventional banking and brokerage models.
"We have created Emerging Crowd to bridge this gap, so that investors can discover and invest directly in growth stage companies from around the world,” said Lucien Moolenaar, co-founder of Emerging Crowd.
The crowdfunding market in developing nations would be £50-55 billion over the next twenty years, according to the World Bank.
