Cross Switch has named Gillian Koinange as head of business development for East Africa, aiming to boost the fintech's regional expansion and market presence.
According to the company, Koinange will lead the firm's expansion efforts, with a focus on deepening partner relationships and boosting adoption of payment solutions across the region.
She joins Cross Switch from PayU, where she previously oversaw key global client relationships in Nairobi, Kenya.
The company said a Kellogg-certified sales specialist with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Koinange is recognised for her ability to negotiate high-value contracts and her data-driven approach to leadership.
Cross Switch highlighted her strategic vision as a key factor in her appointment, noting her track record of delivering sustainable growth.
The company stated that Koinange will be instrumental in supporting the wide-scale rollout of its payment architecture.
Her appointment underscores Cross Switch’s broader strategy to enhance its leadership tier and maintain high standards of innovation within the African fintech sector, the company said.
