Global technology company Concentrix is rapidly scaling its operations in Egypt, launching five new regional centres over the next two years as part of a $1 billion expansion strategy.

The expansion follows a meeting between Egypt’s minister of communications and information technology, Raafat Hendy, and Amr Sobhi Bayoumi, general manager of Concentrix Egypt.

The meeting reviewed the firm’s infrastructure progress, job creation targets, and collaborative digital training initiatives, the ministry stated.

This aggressive growth plan stems from a memorandum of understanding signed with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency in January 2025.

The initiative aims to generate 16,000 new local jobs by the end of 2028, raising Concentrix’s total Egyptian workforce to 35,000.

The move also highlights the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s (MCIT) strategic push to attract foreign direct investment and strengthen Egypt’s position as a global outsourcing hub.

“Hendy emphasised that the Egyptian market is increasingly attracting global outsourcing companies, driven by its advanced digital infrastructure, competitive business environment and a deep pool of skilled young talent capable of serving clients across international markets,” MCIT noted.

To support this corporate growth, MCIT is expanding specialised youth training programmes designed to align academic and vocational outputs with the immediate hiring needs of multinational technology firms, thereby boosting the country’s digital export revenues.

As part of its modernisation drive, Concentrix is collaborating with local universities and technology parks to integrate artificial intelligence into its operational management and customer service workflows, ensuring its new workforce is trained in next-generation technologies.
