Leading African communications and technology distributor Comztek announced that it would open its office in Mauritius now in June.
The office, situated in the Moka Business Centre, is expected to provide access to leading technology products and solutions required by local business and the community.
Bridget Kelly, sales director south and eastern Africa at Comztek, says “Mauritius is an amazing success story, a country with no natural resources that out-performs many of its counterparts across the globe.”
“Its government has recognised the importance of ICT to the country’s growth and has created a specific focus on the industry. This in itself is exceptionally forward thinking within not just the African, but a global context,” she explained.
Kelly said Comztek would be expanding its footprint into the country, by securing a local office, appointing a local team, and working with local businesses to bring world-class technology solutions to business, government and customers in the region.
Vivek Rajiah, the sales manager heading the newly opened Comztek Mauritius office brings local experience and business acumen to the position and the country.
Comztek Mauritius is expected to focus on reselling premium brands such as Cisco, Avaya, Fujitsu, Ruckus Wireless, Kaspersky, Microsoft, to its customers and partners.
“The Mauritius office is another milestone in Comztek’s African expansion strategy and demonstrates commitment to the country and the continent as a whole. We are very excited about the prospects the region holds and look forward to working with the local business community,” said Paul Conradie, managing director at Comztek.
