Africa’s mobile phone market is one of the fastest growing in the world with over 700 million connections, according to the likes of the GSMA.

In 2014 that number is set to jump even further, especially owing to Africa’s population size of one billion.

Data from the likes of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) has been used by Mushroom Networks to compile this below list regarding the number of mobile connections in these four countries.

2. Egypt: 71.4 million
3. South Africa: 59.4 million
4. Kenya: 28 million
