One of Africa’s biggest online accommodation websites Sleepout.com is planning to partner with local travel agencies in countries they are operating in.

The partnership is planned to see travel agencies take advantage of the broad listings Sleepout.com has.

The website has accrued a large database of hotels, motels and rooms for tourists.

“We will be announcing some new exciting products for travel professionals in the coming months including the ability to make use of SleepOut's accommodation inventory via an affiliate programme for local travel agents,” Johann Jensen, the co-founder and chief executive officer of Sleepout.com, told ITWeb Africa.

The move is expected to boost Sleepout services reach in Africa and the Middle East.

But the company is also eyeing other markets with growing tourism industries.

“Additionally, as we expand to new regions on and off the continent we are open to building partnerships with entrepreneurs looking to grow the SleepOut brand in their country,” Jensen said.

In January this year, CNN named Sleepout.com as one of the companies to watch out for in 2014.
