Kerio Technologies has released Kerio Operator version 2.4. Kerio Operator is a standards-based VoIP system, designed specifically for SMEs, and the new version adds support for video calls, simplified outbound dialing rules, and custom routing to manage costs.
SMEs can benefit from advanced call handling and routing typically associated with high-end phone systems, including:
* Auto attendant
* Call queues
* Conference calling
* Call forwarding, pickup, parking, and recording
* Click to Call
* Video calling
* Fax support
* Paging
* Salesforce.com and CRM integration
* Voicemail to email
A full list of features can be found here.
Henk Olivier from Ozone IT, distributor for Kerio in Africa comments on the release saying: "This latest release helps SMEs reduce telephony costs and increases employee productivity. Kerio is improving phone systems with the introduction of auto provisioning for several video phones, and caller ID labeling to help users respond appropriately to multiple incoming calls as just a few examples of improved features."
With new video calling for the Grandstream GXV and Polycom VVX video conferencing phones, IT administrators and end users benefit from a richer communications experience including better call quality and improved PABX functionality for SMEs . This added functionality improves employee productivity and collaboration as leadership can run reports on the phone system to monitor employee calls, and integrate into calls from other systems via the Kerio operator desktop dialer.
Cost savings can be realised by setting custom rules for outgoing calls, as those placed to various regions (based on prefix) can be directed through lower cost routes. Kerio has also enhanced the user experience by making it easier to set preferred call routes and removed the need for prepending numbers with dialing prefixes.
This new release allows more call settings to be adjusted when setting up the interface to a telephony provider, including audio gain levels and the sensitivity of the tones produced by dialing digits during a call (DTMF tones).
Kerio Operator 2.4 is available for download immediately with a free 30-day trial (including technical support).
