Flutterwave extends remittance service to America

Olugbenga Agboola, founder and CEO of Flutterwave.

Flutterwave, a payment technology firm, has expanded its transfer App services across the United States, making it easier for Africans in the Diaspora to transfer money home.

This is in collaboration with MainStreet Bank, a US$2 billion community bank based in Fairfax, Virginia.

The agreement has resulted in the expansion of Send App to 49 US states.

Olugbenga Agboola, Founder and CEO of Flutterwave, feels the partnership with MainStreet Bank demonstrates the company's commitment to offering secure, regulatory-compliant, and efficient banking solutions.

The Nigerian executive noted that this has improved the safety and security of clients' monies and data, ensuring that Send App remained a dependable remittance option that provided Africans in the Diaspora peace of mind with every fund sent home.

“We care deeply about our Diaspora community, who we expect to play a major role in Africa’s next phase of growth,” Agboola said.

Todd Youngren, president of Avenu, a Division of MainStreet Bank, said, “We are proud to partner with Flutterwave as they expand Send App across the US.”

Send App by Flutterwave is currently available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
