Liquid C2 appoints insider Oswald Jumira as CEO
Following the departure of David Behr, Liquid Intelligent Technologies has appointed Oswald Jumira as the CEO of Liquid C2, it’s cloud and cyber security business.
Jumira was CEO of Vaya Technologies, one of the business units of Cassava Technologies, which also owns Liquid.
Jumira will be replacing Behr, who recently joined MTN Group as chief executive of its ICT Centre of Excellence.
A statement from Liquid says Jumira is a “seasoned ICT professional with over 15 of experience in technology and business development across numerous African countries.”
At Vaya Technologies, he led a team focusing on building and scaling digital products in the agriculture, healthcare, logistics and education space.
Previously, Jumira worked with fintech startups in Nigeria and Kenya, looking at how to drive the adoption of digital financial services.
Commenting on his appointment, Hardy Pemhiwa, president and Group CEO of Cassava Technologies, says: “He has deep industry relationships, is well respected for his ability to execute business plans and is the right person to drive Liquid C2’s growth and securely enabling the digital transformation journeys of our customers.”
“I intend to deepen the relationships with our local and global strategic partners,” says Oswald, adding that he sees product innovation and customer service as key to future growth.
