SimbaPay launches UK to Nigeria money transfers

Mobile money transfer application, SimbaPay announced that it plans to launch its service in Nigeria, it said on Friday.

SimbaPay is a mobile transfer app in the international remittance space.

In a statement it was revealed that by using the SimbaPay app or website, Nigerians living in the UK can send money to any bank account or mobile phone in Nigeria instantly.

Transfers made using SimbaPay are credited within seconds to recipients’ bank accounts or mobile money wallets eliminating the inconvenience of queues and old school paperwork.

The SimbaPay app can be used from any mobile phone, tablet or computer and charges zero fees for money transfers to Nigeria, the statement notes.

“We’re excited by the launch into Africa’s largest economy,” said Nyasinga Onyancha, chief executive officer for SimbaPay.

“It’s awesome to be eliminitating high money transfer fees for Nigerians in the UK who are sending money to their loved ones," Onyancha added.

The service will gradually be rolled out to Nigerians living in other EU countries, according to the statement.
