Music streaming service simfy Africa is now available on Windows smartphones in South Africa.

According to a statement consumers with the Microsoft Windows 8.1 smartphone will be able to download the application.

Some of the music features available on the app include "my music" for users' individual collection, "live tile" for the user to see the album currently playing in simfy Africa, directly on the front screen of their device.

Another feature is "user interface" (UI), which integrates into Windows phone making the transition from the home screen to simfy Africa a seamless experience.

Simfy Africa will continue to add features and roll out new enhancements on a regular basis, ensuring users have a fantastic experience across all smartphone platforms, reads the statement.

Simfy Africa was launched in South Africa in 2012 and allows users who download the app to discover new music, create playlists, download pre-made playlist, and organise their favourite music.
