Nigeria’s satellite operator launches AI chatbot, Ayesha
Vault Hill, a blockchain, immersive technology, and artificial intelligence (AI) company, has partnered with Nigeria’s state-owned satellite operator NigComSat (Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited) to boost its customer service.
Vault Hill has customised its AI-powered companion Hillda according to NigComSat's brand persona to develop the just-launched "Ayesha" chatbot.
The startup, founded in 2021 by Nigerian tech entrepreneur Jimi Daodu, says it used its proprietary AI technology and immersive capabilities to create Ayesha.
As an advanced AI companion, Ayesha provides an immersive avatar chatbot interface, offering 24/7 customer support. This innovation is expected to transform NigComSat's customer interactions and service delivery.
According to Vault Hill, the chatbot launch is in line with the strategic goal of the Nigerian Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy and its minister, Dr Bosun Tijani, to create 50 000 AI jobs by 2030 and train three million technical talents (#3MTT).
Jane Nkechi Egerton-Idehen, MD and CEO of NigComSat, says, “In partnership with Vault Hill, we are advancing our services and reiterating our commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction, and a pivotal role in Nigeria’s digital economy.”
Vault Hill’s CEO Daodu says Ayesha is just the beginning. “We envision a future where our AI-driven solutions enhance customer experiences and contribute significantly to job creation and technical talent development in Nigeria and beyond.”
