Mustek CTO says Apple partnership boosts its standing

Mustek Limited says its appointment as an Apple B2B Partner for South Africa is in line with its business strategy of expanding its product and service offering to its market in the country.

Dimitri Tserpes, Chief Technical Officer for the company which assembles and distributes personal computers says the deal helps its standing across a competitive marketplace.

"Mustek's vision is to be a South African IT provider of choice and within this it is continuously looking at partnerships, such as the Apple partnership, to enhance its offering and services to customers. Mustek fulfils ever-changing ICT needs by anticipating, identifying, procuring and delivering the right solutions at the right time and at the right price."

Tsepres adds that the partnership with Apple is effective immediately, has no time limit attached to it and that Mustek is currently getting feedback from all its our stakeholders on how this expansion of its product portfolio helps them.

An additional value-add to Mustek's Apple portfolio is that Mustek is a DEP (device enrolment programme) reseller and that means more streamlined deployment of coporate owned Mac, Apple TV or iOS devices, according to the company.

It adds that other benefits of DEP include zero-touch configuration for IT, streamlined setup and wireless supervision.

Tserpes confirmed that for now, the agreement will only apply to the South African market.
