Liquid C2 sets up Cloudmania in Egypt in Middle East expansion
Liquid Intelligent Technologies' subsidiary, Liquid C2, has expanded its Cloudmania business into Egypt's channel partner ecosystem.
Cloudmania is Liquid C2's distribution business unit for cloud and cyber security solutions, operating in 35 countries across the Middle East and Africa.
The company says its strategic alliance with Microsoft has enabled it to provide partners with cloud and cyber security services and solutions, such as Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions, as part of a fully supported ecosystem.
Liquid C2, led by CEO Oswald Jumira, has expanded its Middle East channel partner ecosystem just a few months after its parent company Cassava Technologies signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Google Cloud in Africa.
This agreement aims to improve Liquid C2's cloud and cyber security products, which the company said can now be tailored to individual needs of customers.
Today, Sherif Shaltout, vice president, operations at Liquid C2, announced the Cloudmania expansion, saying: "Expanding Cloudmania's reach to Egypt reflects our confidence in the Egyptian economy following Liquid C2's launch in Egypt a year ago.
"We see Egypt as the anchor country for our expansion throughout the Middle East and North Africa, and we look forward to play our role in realizing the government’s Egypt Vision 2030 strategy, supported by its ‘Digital Egypt’ initiative.
“Partnering with local businesses will help in developing digital infrastructure, promoting digital skills development, creating opportunities for entrepreneurship and economic growth, all while tapping into Egypt’s wealth of local tech talent.”
According to a Liquid C2 statement, Cloudmania understands the importance of cloud and cyber security technology in today's digital economy.
It said: “By partnering with global hyper-scaler Microsoft, Cloudmania demonstrates its commitment to technology as a conduit for change, development, and progress in Egypt.”
Vinay Hiralall, Liquid C2's chief commercial officer, added: “Cloudmania’s growth over the last year from 100 partners to over 750 demonstrates how our value proposition resonates with channel partners across these regions.”
According to Hiralall, being named the Microsoft Partner of the Year in Ethiopia and Côte d'Ivoire in 2022 and 2023 respectively, reflects the company’s “commitment to delivering solutions that propel cloud adoption and partner growth, accelerating digital transformation for businesses in Africa.”
