As the African cloud competition heats up, Westcon Comstor, a technology provider and specialist distributor, announced today that it has become an official distributor of Microsoft cloud solutions across Africa.

Westcon Comstor will offer essential Microsoft tools and solutions such as Azure, Modern Work, security, and Microsoft 365 business apps to a network of IT channel partners across the continent.

According to Westcon Comstor, these partners, which include technology resellers, systems integrators, and managed service providers, will benefit from value-added services like education, enablement, and training as they drive Microsoft solution adoption among end-user businesses ranging from enterprises to small-sized businesses.

In addition, Westcon Comstor said its data-driven strategy will enable partners to employ statistical insights and analysis to locate new consumers and increase revenue.

"Ultimately, the agreement will ensure that more African businesses have access to Microsoft's world-leading suite of technology applications," according to the company.

It went on to say Westcon Comstor has offices in nine African countries. It is this geographic footprint – along with the distributor’s technical expertise and data-driven approach – that led to the expansion of its collaboration with Microsoft to cover the entire continent.

Vincent Entonu, managing director, Westcon Comstor Africa, said: “We look forward to rewarding the faith that Microsoft has placed in us by driving accelerated growth for them and our partners across the continent.”
