MTN Rwanda has expanded its cooperation with LigaData, a telecoms technology vendor, in an effort to modernise its network and improve the consumer experience.

This is accomplished through the mobile operator's upgrade to the latter's newest platform, Telecom Data Fabric 4.0, which promises to convert businesses from traditional "telcos" to agile data and artificial intelligence-driven "techcos" while increasing revenue.

According to the Jordan-headquartered software firm, the LigaData Telecom Data Fabric 4.0 embeds telecom industry expertise, enabling near real-time data pipelines and analytics at scale and at a fraction of the cost and resource requirements of traditional data integration tools and generic data fabrics.

Fabrice Ntare, chief information officer at MTN Rwanda, stated that upgrading to LigaData's Telecom Data Fabric version 4.0 has allowed the company to leverage the new self-service user interface to more simply and swiftly combine data into a unified view.

"The accelerated processing speed gives us faster access to key performance indicators, helping us keep ahead of the competition," Ntare said.

LigaData's software solutions and services are used by over 30 communication service providers globally, who serve over 350 million users.

“The new version 4.0 of the LigaData Telecom Data Fabric and the new LigaData Telecom AI Apps build on LigaData’s impressive record of delivering data fabric infrastructures and solving data-driven use cases for our many telecommunications customers across the world”, said Bassel Ojjeh, president and CEO of LigaData.
