Sage One targets SMEs with all-in-one offering

Business software firm Sage has launched its all-in-one cloud online accounting and payroll solution, Sage One, for South African small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs).

Sage One brings together the Sage Pastel My Business Online, Sage Pastel My Payroll Online and Sage VIP Liquid Payroll cloud solutions.

In a statement, the company says Sage One will enable SME owners to log in from wherever they are and start working.

Users will be able to view customer information, record notes, search for customers and contact them directly from a device.

The Sage One solution also allows access to data from the cloud, which means that data is available online, anywhere, and anytime.

Sage chief executive officer for Africa, Australia, Middle East and Asia, Ivan Epstein said, "Sage Pastel Accounting, Sage Pastel Payroll & HR and Sage VIP have enjoyed strong traction in the South African SME market with their cloud-based business solutions.”

"As the next step in Sage South Africa’s continued investment in the cloud, we are now consolidating these offerings under the Sage One brand name," he said.

Anton van Heerden, managing director for Sage VIP and Sage Pastel Payroll & HR added, “Sage One Payroll gives you the peace of mind that your employees will be paid in accordance with the requirements of legislation and statutory bodies such as SARS (the South African Revenue Service).”
