Satellite capacity expansion for Onlime in Africa

Supplier of satellite communication services MEASAT and connectivity company Onlime have joined forces to carry out expansion plans in Africa

In particular, the partnership will see the two parties provide additional transponder capacity on the AFRICASAT-1a satellite.

The parties have signed an agreement where Onlime will expand the capacity on AFRICASAT-1a to support continuous growth in the African markets.

Paul Ziegler, chief executive officer at Onlime said, "Onlime services across Africa are in high demand."

"AFRICASAT-1a with its high-powered pan-African coverage is an excellent platform for expanding our services across the continent," Ziegler added.

Onlime is a provider of high quality, secure and reliable business communications solutions across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

"MEASAT is delighted to continue supporting Onlime's business in Africa," said Raj Malik, senior vice president for sales and marketing, MEASAT.
