Interswitch adds Google Pay for Nigerian transactions

Interswitch, an integrated payments and digital commerce company, has added Google Pay functionality to its payment gateway platform.

Interswitch made the announcement on Monday, asserting that the move will allow businesses and individuals in Nigeria to benefit from contactless payments and digital storage.

Merchants can now keep payment information in Google Wallet, says the company.

It added that this integration also allows for a streamlined checkout procedure on the Interswitch platform, enhancing the user experience.

Furthermore, the agreement enables the Interswitch payment gateway to accept international cards, allowing businesses to cater to a larger international clientele. Google Pay is available in more than 70 countries.
