SA’s Axiz broadens reach into Madagascar
Axiz, a South African technology distributor, has expanded into Madagascar, punting the island nation as one of Africa's most attractive new technology markets.
The company announced the move today, stating that a dedicated local resource has been stationed in Madagascar to serve the market.
According to Axiz, this is a strategic step in response to the country's expanding demand for digital solutions.
Madagascar's technological scene is distinguished by its openness to new trends and ideas, says the company, adding that it is keen to capitalise on this by meeting the needs of the local IT community.
Axiz represents vendors that include Dell, Lenovo, Microsoft, Oracle, Pure Storage, Veeam, VMware and Forcepoint.
Dhiren Bisnathsing, regional lead for Axiz, observes that Madagascar's technology sector has grown significantly in recent years.
"We've seen a growing interest in advanced solutions and innovation while operating from Axiz Mauritius to assist resellers in Madagascar," Dhiren says.
Cheryl Miller, Axiz' executive for Africa, says that the distributor’s debut into the market is strategically timed, as Madagascar aligns itself more closely with global technology trends.
"We believe that our presence in this growing tech hub will foster collaboration and knowledge exchange," she says.
