Axilspot CEO outlines MEA strategy

Axilspot, a global vendor in enterprise wireless networking and recent entrant into the market, has launched operations in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.

The vendor made the move following intensive market research and preparation, which covered recruitment, business planning and product localisation.

"We already have customers in this region and hence we felt it was important to expand our operations by appointing distributors, enabling our channel partners so they can offer local support and offer technical support to our channel partners on local implementations," said Bruce Zhou, CEO of Axilspot.

According to Zhou MEA features some of the fastest growing mobility growth rates and state-of-the-art service provider technologies.

"With the arrival of 4G+ technologies in the region, end users want the same lighting fast mobile experiences available from service providers inside their offices, homes and in some public places too."

The company is looking to appoint distributors and strengthen its channel network by onboarding partners across the region.

Zhou said the company is selective when engaging potential partners. "We prefer long-term business relationships with partners who have WLAN industry background, are more dedicated and more willing to growth together with Axilspot.

He added that the plan is to establish an office in Dubai and appoint a country manager, and from this location provide support to partners and customers locally, then further afield to Europe and Northern Africa. "Local warehouse is also in our plan within one or two years, (as) Dubai as the trading center and logistics center can facilitate our business service to further reach Europe and Northern Africa," Zhou added.

"We have a simplified channel partner structure that allows partners to engage with us in the way best suited to their business. We offer significant discount and value benefits to all the three levels of channel partners. Based on our global experience and the large number of leisure hotels, shopping malls, tourist destinations, business events and conferences, in some of the countries in the MEA region, we are very confident that our products will dramatically change the experience of mobile users and visitors in these countries," he said.

The company aims to work closely with governments in their digitisation and smart city initiatives.
